Mama Luv Monday

I watch her as she skips ahead of me, hair softly blowing in the breeze, arms flying free. She's not a care in the world; a very happy girl. She sings her own tunes and new ones she's learned at Sunday school or repeats from the local radio station; always about Jesus. She acts out her own plays, her imagination rich with story. She's so full of life. Freedom. Wonder.

He knit her into my womb, knowing full well who He was giving her to. We are a perfect match, but He knows how I struggle with raising her up well; half a parenting pair. He did not just give me a daughter, though, He gave me Charis (Greek for Grace): of the merciful kindness by which God, exerting His holy influence upon souls, turns them to Christ, keeps, strengthens, increases them in faith, knowledge, affection, and kindles them to the exercise of Christ's virtues.

He whispers to me daily...

My Grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. 2 Cor 12:9

She is His Grace. And He is with us.

Gifts of Grace:
**Her hand always finds mine
**The teenie tiny crooked toe nails
**Her affections never ending
**'God's the boss, huh, Mama?'
**She never wants to walk even a step behind me, but always beside
**She never draws an unhappy face

[If you have some Mama Luv gratitudes to share, would you share your moments here, too? by posting a link to your post in the comments? And if you wish, copy the 'Mama Luv' banner/button (I'll figure out how to link it, shortly) and add it to your post as well! :)]
